After a month of solid effort and probably a few choice words directed at me, the ladies completed their weight loss journey [PI, PII, and PIII]. I’m incredibly proud of what they achieved in just 30 days—it’s impressive what friends and determination can accomplish together! Check out their progress and an exclusive offer below.
We’ve settled into a routine, and I’ve gotten a bit lazy about tracking my progress… I’ll see my results at our final weigh-in. I’m also tired of weighing myself every day—it’s exhausting watching the numbers go up and down.
Josh has advised us not to rely solely on the scale to measure success. Are my clothes fitting differently? Yes, they’re a bit looser. That’s a positive sign—so I’m ignoring the scale for now.
Exercising consistently has been more challenging for Pam since she doesn’t have the support system at her job that FB1, FB2, and I do. She works in the construction industry and is often surrounded by men. Now, not to say men in construction can’t be supportive—a lot of them support their families through hard work, which is incredible in its own way. But when it comes to weight loss, they likely don’t sit around discussing calories or feeling bloated from eating broccoli.
Pam is trying to find ways to get her workouts in, but unlike my colleagues and me, she doesn’t have the luxury of fitting in exercise during breaks. We’re lucky in that regard!
As for FB3 and FB4, they’re working out at home since they’re out of the office a lot. Because we want an accurate measure of progress from day 1 to day 30, we won’t include their results in the final count. You’re off the hook for now, ladies!
Tomorrow is Wednesday, the final day of our challenge, but we’ve decided to extend it until Friday, which is our usual weigh-in day. I’m going to put in extra effort over these next two nights because I want good results. Wish me luck!
We’ve finished! We weighed in today—FB1 did fantastic. FB2 and I didn’t quite hit our targets, but we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
Final weigh-in day results are in:
Thanks to FB1’s dedication, we hit our team goal of losing 15 pounds. She was a driving force and a huge motivator! FB2 felt like giving up halfway through but pushed through and lost 7.5 inches.
Am I disappointed that I didn’t hit my individual goal of losing 5 pounds (I was really close)? Yes, but I did lose 4.6 pounds and 2.3% of my body fat, which I’m thrilled about. Plus, I can do 50 pushups without stopping, a 2-minute plank, and a 1.5-minute wall sit. Those gains are incredibly satisfying!
I feel stronger than I have in a long time, and that’s just after 30 days. Who knows what we can achieve in the next 30? We’re definitely doing this again and again until we reach our ultimate goals.
There will be challenging mini-goals along the way, but we didn’t gain this weight overnight, and we won’t lose it overnight either. If you or anyone you know wants to get healthier, use that as motivation and join forces! We all need support. Josh’s 30-day program is great, but he can’t make you get off the couch and commit.
Build a team of positive-minded people who want to succeed and help each other succeed as well.
First 30 days down, next 30 coming up… What will I achieve next? Right now, I feel like the sky’s the limit… at least today I do. Tomorrow might be different, but that’s okay—I won’t give up. I’ve come too far to quit now, even if I finish last, at least I got off the couch! Go, Connie!
P.S. Remember when I said if I don’t lose 5 pounds by the end of the 30 days, I’m never getting on Facebook again? I lied. Peace out!
