One of the main reasons we often skip workouts is because we just can’t seem to squeeze them into our busy days. It’s frustrating to think that even with 24 hours, there’s no time for something so beneficial. But it happens! Here are some super simple tips on how to prioritize your health.
In this post, I’ll show you a few ways to carve out time for workouts, even with a packed schedule. The focus here is on making fitness a part of your daily routine.
WE ALL NEED TO MAKE TIME FOR OUR HEALTH… IT’S ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF!
Here’s how…
Right now, you’ve got a million things on your plate: making beds, feeding the kids, going to work, cooking dinner, watching TV, and going to bed. Somewhere in that busy schedule, you need to prioritize fitness and health.
I’m not suggesting that workouts are more important than your kids, but they should take precedence over sitting on the couch watching TV shows.
If you can do this, you’ll find time for workouts instead of wondering where the time went.
Let’s face it, most of us are very busy. To find time to work out, you might need to wake up a bit earlier.
This could mean getting up 20 minutes earlier to do some yoga or body-weight exercises in your room or maybe an hour earlier to fit in a run and some weights.
Waking up early gives you time specifically set aside for fitness.
There are simple ways to find workout time without having to change into gym clothes or drive to a gym.
For instance, if you park your car 15 minutes away from your office, you’ll get a 30-minute walk every day. That’s free exercise time without altering your routine.
Another effective strategy is going straight to the gym before or after work. This way, you have less time to talk yourself out of it. You just go and get it done.
During lunch hours in the city, you might notice groups of people jogging together. It’s a great idea. Many workplaces offer an hour for lunch, which is usually more time than you need. Try this routine:
This schedule is very doable, and by sticking to it, you’ll get a 30-minute workout every day, no matter how busy you are. Utilize your lunch break for exercise instead of using your personal time.
A lot of people are starting to read while on the exercise bike. If you feel you don’t have time to work out because you need to study or review work notes, take them to the gym and read while you pedal. You’ll multitask and feel better about getting things done.
YOUR HEALTH IS SO IMPORTANT… THAT’S WHY FITNESS TIME IS VITAL!
Don’t let your busy life interfere with your workout routine. If you truly want to be healthy and live longer, you need to find some time during your day to exercise.
Try these tips, make fitness a priority, and see how they work for you.
